If you are driving from the center of Montevideo, head northeast on Avenida 18 de Julio towards Plaza Independencia. Continue straight to merge onto Avenida Italia. Follow Avenida Italia until you reach the intersection with Ruta 8. Turn right onto Ruta 8 and continue for about 6 kilometers. Then, take the exit towards Ruta Nacional César Mayo Gutiérrez. Continue on Ruta Nal. César Mayo Gutiérrez for about 2 kilometers until you reach Bodegas Carrau on your left at 2556.
Public Transportation
To reach Bodegas Carrau using public transport, start by taking bus line 185 from the city center (look for stops near Plaza Independencia). This bus will take you towards Montevideo's outskirts. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at Ruta 8. From there, you can transfer to bus line 708, which will take you directly to the stop near Bodegas Carrau, located on Ruta Nal. César Mayo Gutiérrez. The winery is a short walk from the bus stop.
