If you are already in the city center, walking to the Artigas Mausoleum is a pleasant option. Head towards Plaza Independencia by walking down 18 de Julio Avenue. Once you reach the plaza, look for the large monument in the center, which is the Artigas Mausoleum.

You can easily find a taxi from almost anywhere in Montevideo. Simply hail a taxi or call one and tell the driver you want to go to 'Plaza Independencia'. The Artigas Mausoleum is located right in the plaza, and the taxi should drop you off at the main entrance.
