Public Transport - Bus
If you're starting from the Ciudad Vieja, head to the nearest bus stop (such as '25 de Mayo y Ciudadela'). Look for bus numbers 180, 182, or 185, which head towards Plaza Cagancha. Once you're on the bus, stay on for about 10 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Cagancha', which is a short walk from the fountain. Walk towards the intersection of Avenida 18 de Julio and Dr. Enrique Tarigo. The fountain is located at Dr. Enrique Tarigo 1150.
Walking
From Plaza Independencia, walk along Avenida 18 de Julio. This is the main avenue in Montevideo, filled with shops and cafes. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Dr. Enrique Tarigo. Turn left onto Dr. Enrique Tarigo, and you will see Fountain Plaza Cagancha just a few steps ahead.
Taxi or Rideshare
From any location in Montevideo, you can easily take a taxi or use a rideshare app. Simply provide the driver with the address 'Dr. Enrique Tarigo 1150'. The ride is usually quick, depending on traffic, and will take you directly to Fountain Plaza Cagancha.
Bicycle
If you are comfortable riding a bicycle, you can rent one from a local bike shop. From Ciudad Vieja, head to Plaza Independencia and then ride along Avenida 18 de Julio. Once you reach the intersection with Dr. Enrique Tarigo, turn left, and the fountain will be on your right in just a few meters.
