Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving in Punta Ballena, start on Route 10 (Ruta 10) heading towards Manantiales. Continue on Route 10 until you reach the intersection with Avenida del Sol. Turn left onto Avenida del Sol, which will lead you towards the coast. Follow this road until you see the signs for Punta Ballena Lookout Point. The lookout point is situated at the end of a small access road, where you can find parking available. There is no entry fee for accessing the lookout.

  To reach Punta Ballena Lookout Point via public transportation, locate the nearest bus stop in Punta Ballena. Look for buses that operate along the coastal route, specifically those heading towards Manantiales or Punta del Este. Get off at the stop closest to Avenida del Sol. From there, you may have to walk about 1 km along Avenida del Sol to reach the lookout point. Be sure to check the local bus schedules as they can vary, and ensure you have some cash handy for the fare, which is typically around 100 Uruguayan Pesos.

  If you are already in Punta Ballena and prefer to walk or bike, take Avenida del Sol from the center of Punta Ballena. It's a scenic route that takes you along the coast.
