Getting There

The fortress is located just off the main road, and there is parking available on-site. Be sure to check your fuel levels, as gas stations may be sparse in this region.

  To reach Fuerte San Miguel via public transportation, start by taking a bus from Rocha to the town of La Paloma. Several bus companies operate this route, and the journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive in La Paloma, you will need to take a taxi or a local minibus to Fuerte San Miguel, which is approximately 10 km away.
