Getting There

  • Walking

    From the central plaza (Plaza 19 de Abril) in Tacuarembó, head east on Calle Gral Artigas for about 200 meters until you reach the intersection with Avenida Intendente Oliver. Turn left onto Avenida Intendente Oliver and continue walking for approximately 1 kilometer. The Obelisco Tacuarembo will be on your right side, just past the intersection with Calle 25 de Mayo. Look for the tall obelisk structure at the side of the road.

  • Public Bus

    If you prefer to take the bus, locate the nearest bus stop near Plaza 19 de Abril. Check the local bus schedule for routes heading towards Avenida Intendente Oliver. Take a bus that stops along Avenida Intendente Oliver. Get off at the stop closest to the intersection with Calle 25 de Mayo. From there, walk about 100 meters east along Avenida Intendente Oliver, and you will see the Obelisco Tacuarembo on your left.
