Start from the Provo City Center Temple located at 100 S University Ave, Provo, UT 84601. Head east on 100 S towards University Ave. Continue walking for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with 500 E. Turn left onto 500 E and walk north for approximately 0.5 miles. You will pass through residential areas, so enjoy the local scenery. After you reach the intersection with 800 N, continue straight until you reach 1200 N. At this point, you will want to turn right onto 1200 N and walk east. After about 0.2 miles, you will see the Escalante Trail Historical Marker located at approximately 40.2326° N, -111.6582° W on the right side of the road.

If you are starting from the Provo River Parkway Trail, make your way to the nearest entrance of the trail. Follow the trail south until you reach the intersection with 500 N. Turn left onto 500 N and ride east until you reach University Ave. Turn right onto University Ave and head south. Continue on University Ave for about 1 mile until you reach 1200 N. Turn left onto 1200 N and bike east for about 0.2 miles. The Escalante Trail Historical Marker will be on your right at approximately 40.2326° N, -111.6582° W.
