Board a train heading towards the University Medical Center. After about 15 minutes, get off at the 900 East Station. From there, transfer to bus #3, heading north. Stay on the bus for about 10 minutes, and get off at the 'Ensign Peak' stop. You will see signs for the park, and from there, it’s a short walk uphill to the entrance of Ensign Peak Open Space.

    If you’re close to the Capitol Building, the entrance to Ensign Peak Open Space is a pleasant 20-minute walk. Start at the Capitol Building, head north on State Street, then take a left onto 1st Avenue. Continue straight until you reach Ensign Vista Drive. Turn right and follow the road uphill. The trailhead to Ensign Peak Open Space will be on your left.

  • Bicycle Rental

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in downtown Salt Lake City. From downtown, head north on State Street, then take a left onto 1st Avenue. Continue on 1st Avenue until you reach Ensign Vista Drive. The bike ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Once you reach Ensign Vista Drive, park your bike safely and follow the pedestrian path to the entrance of Ensign Peak Open Space.
