Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from the main lodge area of Solitude Mountain Resort, start by heading south on Solitude Ski Resort Road. Continue on this road for approximately 1 mile until you reach the intersection with Big Cottonwood Canyon Road (Utah State Route 190). Turn left onto Big Cottonwood Canyon Road. After about 2.5 miles, you will see signs for Brighton, where you will turn right onto Brighton Loop Road. Follow Brighton Loop Road for about 1 mile until you reach the Brighton Ski Resort parking area. Park in the designated parking lot, where there are usually no fees during the summer months.

  • Public Transportation

    If you prefer to use public transportation, you can take the UTA ski bus (Route 972) from Salt Lake City during the winter season. This service may not operate during the summer, so check the UTA website for schedules. The bus will take you to Brighton Ski Resort. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile along Brighton Loop Road to reach the trailhead for Lake Mary Trail. Ensure to check the bus schedule ahead of time for your return trip.

    Once you are at the Brighton Ski Resort parking area, head east towards the trailhead for Lake Mary Trail, which is located just past the ski resort buildings.
