Public Bus
From downtown Salt Lake City, locate the nearest TRAX light rail station (such as the City Center station). Board the Blue Line heading towards the University of Utah. Get off at the last stop, which is the University Medical Center. From there, transfer to the UTA bus route 830 towards 'Timpanogos'. Stay on the bus until you reach the Timpanogos Trailhead stop. The trailhead will be a short walk from the bus stop.

Rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in downtown Salt Lake City. Head south on State Street, then turn onto 900 South, which leads you to the base of Mount Timpanogos. Follow the biking routes that are marked towards the Provo Canyon area. Continue on the route until you reach the Timpanogos Trail parking area, where you can lock your bike and begin your hike.

If you are staying in the Provo area, you can walk along the Provo River Trail that leads towards the base of Mount Timpanogos. Start from the Provo Town Center Mall and follow the signs for the river trail. After approximately 2 miles, you will reach the trailhead for Mount Timpanogos.
