After missing our flight to Khiva, Shokhrukh kindly allowed us to move our tour to the next day with zero hassle. Shokhrukh spoke clear, excellent English and started with a great overview of Uzbekistan. What set him apart from other guides we had on our trip, some of whom avoided sensitive topics, was his openness, deep knowledge, and willingness to share genuine insights. When we asked about local art and patterns, he answered with detail. The tour felt authentic and engaging, not like a memorized script. With a small group of 7 people from 3 different countries, the pacing was perfect, never rushed or overwhelming. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Khiva!

The itinerary was well-planned, allowing us to see sights efficiently within a limited time frame and to gain a wide range of experiences, including the high-speed train and the sleeping train . All our hotels were so nice, not only rooms and staffs but especially breakfasts! So, we enjoyed all the aspects of this tour. The owner of Doca Tours is an excellent tour guide; he speaks very good German and is also an author and translator of various books. In Bukhara, he leads guests to an excellent miniature artist whom one would not find on the bazaar alone. His hospitality is wonderful. I still like to remember the wonderful dinner at his house in Samarkand. He is also very caring during border crossings and prepares his guests well for the formalities and main control points.
