If you are driving, head towards the town of Urgench, which is well-connected by roads and is a common starting point in Khorezm Region. From Urgench, take the road towards the town of Khiva. After approximately 35 kilometers, you will reach Khiva. Once in Khiva, continue driving southeast on the A-380 road for about 60 kilometers. You will pass through several villages. Look for signs directing you towards Ayoz qalʼa. The fortress is located near the coordinates 42.010843, 61.027184. Be attentive to the landmarks as you approach, as the road may not be well-marked.

Public Transportation
To reach Ayoz qalʼa using public transport, first take a shared taxi or minibus (marshrutka) from Urgench to Khiva. The journey will take about 30 minutes and cost around 5,000 UZS. Once in Khiva, you can find a local taxi or arrange a tour that includes Ayoz qalʼa. It is advisable to negotiate the fare beforehand. Expect to pay around 50,000 UZS for a round trip taxi ride, considering the distance and waiting time at the fortress.

Another option is to take a marshrutka from Urgench to Khiva, costing approximately 5,000 UZS. Once you arrive in Khiva, hire a taxi to take you towards Ayoz qalʼa. The walking distance from where the taxi drops you off to the fortress can be around 1-2 kilometers, so wear comfortable shoes and carry water.
