From Isangel, head towards the local market area in the center of town. Once you reach the market, follow the main road leading out of town. Continue walking straight for about 2 kilometers until you reach a junction. At the junction, turn left onto the road that leads towards the volcano area. Keep walking for another 3 kilometers, and you will start to see signs for Mount Yasur. Follow the signs, and after approximately 1 kilometer, you will arrive at the entrance to Mount Yasur.

Bicycle

If you have access to a bicycle, start from the main square in Isangel. Ride towards the coastal road and follow it south. After about 2 kilometers, you will need to take a right turn where the road forks. This road will take you directly to Mount Yasur. It’s a scenic route with beautiful views, so take your time. The total distance is approximately 6 kilometers, and be cautious of any uneven terrain as you approach the volcano.

Local Bus

Head to the nearest bus stop in Isangel, usually located near the main market. Look for a bus that is going towards the volcano area or specifically Mount Yasur. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the drop-off point near Mount Yasur, you may have to walk a short distance to reach the entrance, which is well-marked.
