Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Port Vila, head towards the waterfront area. You can start at the Port Vila Market, a central location for many tourists. Walk south along the waterfront road, enjoying the view of the ocean. Continue walking past the local shops and restaurants until you reach the intersection with the main road (the road that leads to the airport). At this intersection, turn left onto the main road and keep walking. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, look for a sign indicating the direction to Erakor. Follow this road for about 1 kilometer, and you will see signs for Hilltop Botanical Garden on your right. The entrance is marked, and it's a short walk up the path to the garden entrance.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Port Vila. Start your journey at the Port Vila Market and head towards the waterfront area. Cycle south along the waterfront road, enjoying the scenery. When you reach the intersection with the main road, turn left onto the main road. Continue cycling for about 1.5 kilometers until you see the sign for Erakor. Follow this road for another kilometer, where you will find Hilltop Botanical Garden on your right. There are bike racks available at the entrance to secure your bicycle while you explore the garden.

• Public Transport

  To reach Hilltop Botanical Garden using local public transport, head to the main bus stop located near the Port Vila Market. Look for a bus heading towards Erakor. Once on the bus, inform the driver that you want to go to Hilltop Botanical Garden. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off near the entrance to the garden. From the bus stop, it’s a short walk up the path to the garden entrance.
