Walking
If you are starting from the central area of Port Vila, head towards the waterfront along the main road, known as the Lini Highway. Walk past the various shops and cafés, keeping the ocean on your left. Continue walking for about 15-20 minutes until you reach the intersection with Rue de France. Here, you will see the Port Vila Market on your right. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout, and take the second exit, which will lead you onto Rue de l'Ancien Port. The Port Vila Monument is located a short walk from there, on your right-hand side, adjacent to the waterfront park.
Bicycle
For those who prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in the central area of Port Vila. Start your ride on Lini Highway, heading towards the waterfront. Keep an eye out for pedestrian crossings, as traffic can be busy. After about 10-15 minutes of cycling, turn onto Rue de France at the Port Vila Market, then proceed to the roundabout and take the second exit onto Rue de l'Ancien Port. The Port Vila Monument will be on your right, approximately 5 minutes from the roundabout.
Public Transport
To reach the Port Vila Monument using public transport, look for local buses or 'bush taxis' that operate in the area. Depending on your location in Port Vila, catch a bus heading towards the waterfront. Inform the driver that you are headed to the Port Vila Monument, or ask to be dropped off near the Port Vila Market. Once you get off, walk towards the roundabout and take the second exit onto Rue de l'Ancien Port. The monument will be located just a short stroll from there on your right.
