    Getting There

    Walking

    From the main entrance of the Apostolic Palace, head east towards the Vatican Gardens. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Via della Conciliazione. Turn right onto Via della Conciliazione and walk straight for about 10 minutes. You will arrive at Piazza del Risorgimento, which is a large square located just outside the Vatican City walls.

    Public Transport (Bus)

    From the Apostolic Palace, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Via della Conciliazione. Take bus line 81 or 982 towards 'Piazza Venezia'. Stay on the bus for about 5 stops, then get off at the 'Piazza del Risorgimento' stop. From there, you will be right at the square.

    Metro

    Although there is no direct metro station at the Apostolic Palace, you can walk to the nearest metro station, Ottaviano - San Pietro, which is approximately a 15-minute walk. Head east towards the Vatican Gardens, then turn left on Via Ottaviano. Take Line A towards Anagnina. Get off at the 'Lepanto' station, then transfer to bus line 81 or walk back to Via della Conciliazione to reach Piazza del Risorgimento.
