From the Gregorian Etruscan Museum, exit the museum and turn left onto Viale Vaticano. Walk straight for about 300 meters until you reach the entrance to the Vatican Museums. Continue past the entrance, and you will see the large open space of Piazza San Pietro (St. Peter's Square) ahead. The Vatican Necropolis is located directly underneath St. Peter's Basilica, so proceed to the right side of the square where you will find the entrance to the Necropolis. Look for signs indicating 'Scavi' or 'Vatican Necropolis'.

From the Gregorian Etruscan Museum, walk to the nearest bus stop at Viale Vaticano, which is about a 5-minute walk. Board bus line 81 towards 'S. Giovanni' and ride for 2 stops. Get off at the 'Piazza San Pietro' stop. From there, walk towards St. Peter's Basilica. The Vatican Necropolis is located underneath the Basilica, so look for signs for 'Scavi' or 'Vatican Necropolis' to find the entrance.
