Getting There

From the Sistine Chapel, exit the Vatican Museums and head towards the main entrance. Once outside, walk to the nearest bus stop on Viale Vaticano. Look for the bus line 23, which will take you directly to the 'Castel Gandolfo' area. The bus ride will take approximately 40 minutes. Make sure to have a valid ticket before boarding, which can be purchased at local tobacco shops or vending machines.

From the Sistine Chapel, exit and walk to the Ottaviano Metro Station (Line A). Take the Metro towards Anagnina and change at Termini Station to catch the train to 'Castel Gandolfo.'
