Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Sistine Chapel, exit and head towards the main corridor, following the signs towards St. Peter's Basilica. Once outside, turn right towards Via della Conciliazione. Walk straight down Via della Conciliazione until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the river using the Ponte Vittorio Emanuele II bridge. After crossing, continue walking straight until you reach Piazza San Lorenzo in Lucina. From there, head towards Via del Corso and take a left. Follow Via del Corso until you reach Piazza Venezia. At Piazza Venezia, look for the bus terminal. You will need to take a train from here to Ostia. Find the Metro station at Piazza Venezia and take Line B towards Laurentina. Get off at the Piramide station and transfer to the Roma-Ostia Lido train. Ride the train until you reach the Lido di Ostia station. From there, it's a short walk to Piazza dei Ravennati.

    To reach Piazza dei Ravennati from the Sistine Chapel, first, make your way to the nearest bus stop on Via della Conciliazione. You can take Bus 64 towards Termini Station. Ride the bus for about 15 minutes and get off at the Termini Station. From Termini, follow the signs to the Metro and take Line B towards Laurentina. Get off at the Piramide station and switch to the Roma-Ostia Lido train. Travel for approximately 30 minutes and disembark at Lido di Ostia station. When you exit the station, head southeast on Viale della Stazione towards Via della Libertà, then turn left onto Via della Libertà. Continue straight until you reach Piazza dei Ravennati.
