    Walking

    From the Sistine Chapel, exit the Vatican Museums and head towards the main entrance of the Vatican City. Once you are outside, turn left and walk down Viale Vaticano. Continue walking until you reach the roundabout at Piazza San Pietro. At the roundabout, follow the signs for Via della Conciliazione and cross the street to enter the main thoroughfare. Keep walking straight until you reach the Tiber River. Once at the river, turn right and follow the riverbank until you reach the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight onto Corso Vittorio Emanuele II. Walk until you reach Piazza Navona, then continue straight onto Via del Governo Vecchio. Follow this street until it intersects with Via Appia Antica. Turn left onto Via Appia Antica and continue walking until you reach Santa Maria Nova Complex at Via Appia Antica, 251.

    Public Transportation

    From the Sistine Chapel, exit the Vatican Museums and head towards the nearest bus stop at Piazza San Pietro. Take bus number 81 or 870 towards 'Termini.' After about 10 minutes, get off at the stop 'Piazza Venezia.' From there, transfer to bus number 118 towards 'Appia Antica.' After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the stop 'Santa Maria Nova.' The Santa Maria Nova Complex is just a short walk from the bus stop, located at Via Appia Antica, 251.
