Getting There

Walking
Exit St. Peter's Basilica through the main entrance. Once outside, head straight towards the Vatican City walls, following the path that leads towards the Via della Conciliazione. Continue walking along this road until you reach the Castel Sant'Angelo. From there, keep walking along the riverbank (Tiber) until you reach the nearest subway station, which is 'Ottaviano'. Take Metro Line A towards Anagnina and get off at 'Termini'. From Termini, transfer to Metro Line B towards Laurentina and get off at 'Colosseo'. Exit the station and walk towards the Colosseum. From there, you can either walk or take a bus to the Via Appia Antica. Look for Bus number 118 which will take you close to your destination. Get off at the stop 'Appia Antica/Ponte S. Giovanni' and walk towards Via Appia Antica, 251.

After exiting St. Peter's Basilica, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Via della Conciliazione. Take Bus number 40 or 64, which will take you directly to the Termini Station. From Termini, transfer to Bus number 30 or 660 towards 'Appia Antica'. Get off at the stop 'Appia Antica/Villa dei Quintili'. From there, it is a short walk to Via Appia Antica, 251.
