Walking
From St. Peter's Square, walk towards the entrance of St. Peter's Basilica. Once you are facing the basilica, turn left and head towards the colonnade. Continue walking straight until you reach the end of the square. You will see a large open area with a view of the Vatican Gardens. The Obelisco Mussolini is located in P.zza Lauro de Bosis, just a short walk away. To get there, head left from the square and walk along Via della Conciliazione. Follow this street until you reach the bridge, then turn right onto Via di Porta Angelica. Continue straight, and you will find P.zza Lauro de Bosis on your right. The entire walk should take about 15-20 minutes.
Public Transport
From St. Peter's Square, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Via della Conciliazione. Take bus number 64, which operates frequently. Stay on the bus for about 5 stops, and get off at the stop 'P.za Cavour.' From there, walk along Via Cavour until you reach Via dei Fori Imperiali, then turn left. Continue walking until you reach P.zza Lauro de Bosis. The total travel time, including walking and bus time, should be around 30-40 minutes.
