Walking
From the center of St. Peter's Square, head towards the grand entrance of St. Peter's Basilica. As you exit the square, turn right onto Via della Conciliazione. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Via di Porta Castello. Cross the street at the pedestrian crossing and keep walking straight until you reach the Tiber River. Once you reach the river, turn left and follow the riverbank. After a few minutes, you will come to a bridge called Ponte Sant'Angelo. Cross the bridge and continue straight on the other side, which will lead you onto Via di San Lorenzo in Lucina. Continue straight until you reach Piazza Colonna, where you will find the beautiful monument and the surrounding area.
Public Transport (Bus)
From St. Peter's Square, walk towards Via della Conciliazione and take the bus at the nearby bus stop located on this road. Look for bus routes that head toward Piazza Venezia. You can take bus 46 or 81. The bus ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Get off at the stop named 'Piazza Venezia'. From there, walk a short distance to Piazza Colonna, which is only a few minutes away. You can locate the column as it is a prominent landmark in the square.
Taxi
If you prefer a quicker and more comfortable option, you can take a taxi from St. Peter's Square. Taxis are available near the square. Simply head to the taxi stand located at the entrance of the square. Inform the driver that you wish to go to Piazza Colonna. The journey will take approximately 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic. Enjoy the ride as you pass through the beautiful streets of Rome.
