Walking
From St. Peter's Square, head towards the main entrance of St. Peter's Basilica. As you exit the basilica, turn left and walk along Via della Conciliazione. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach Piazza dei Tribunali. At the end of this road, you will see the Tiber River on your left. Cross the river using the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. Once you are on the other side, continue straight onto Via San Giovanni in Laterano, which will lead you to the Colosseum. The journey should take approximately 20-25 minutes on foot.

Public Transport
From St. Peter's Square, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Via della Conciliazione. Board Bus Number 87 towards 'Piazza Venezia'. After about 10 minutes, get off at the 'Colosseo' stop. From there, it's a short walk to the Colosseum. Just follow the signs, and you will see the Colosseum in front of you.

From St. Peter's Square, walk to the nearest metro station, which is Ottaviano - San Pietro. This is about a 15-minute walk. Once you reach the station, take Line A (the orange line) towards 'Anagnina'. After 4 stops, get off at 'Termini' station. Change to Line B (the blue line) towards 'Laurentina'. Get off at 'Colosseo' station, which is just a short walk from the Colosseum.
