Start at the entrance of the Vatican Museums. After exiting, make your way towards St. Peter's Basilica, which should be directly ahead of you. Walk through the large courtyard known as St. Peter's Square. As you approach the basilica, look for the entrance to the Excavation Office, located on the right side of the basilica.
