From the entrance of Vatican Necropolis, head southeast towards the main entrance of St. Peter's Basilica. Once you reach the basilica, exit through the main doors and walk straight down Via della Conciliazione. Follow this road until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the river using the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. After crossing the bridge, turn right onto Lungotevere Castello. Continue walking along the riverbank until you reach the bus stop 'Piazza della Libertà'.

Once at the bus stop 'Piazza della Libertà', look for bus number 1 or 101. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride. Stay on the bus for approximately 25 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Calcata Vecchia'. After getting off the bus, walk towards the village center, which is about a 10-minute walk uphill, following the signs leading to 'Calcata Vecchia'.

From Vatican Necropolis, walk to the nearest Metro station 'Ottaviano'. Take the Metro Line A towards Anagnina and get off at the 'Termini' station. At Termini, transfer to the regional train heading to 'Fara Sabina'. After about 30 minutes, get off at the 'Calcata' station. From the station, take a local bus towards 'Calcata Vecchia', which should take about 15 minutes. The bus will drop you off near the village entrance.
