If you are driving from downtown Bennington, head southwest on Main Street (VT-9) for about 1 mile. Turn right onto South Street and continue for approximately 0.5 miles. Then, merge onto US-7 South and follow it for about 2 miles. Take a left onto Everett Road, and after about 1 mile, you will see the designated parking area for Everett Cave on your left. The parking lot is unpaved but accessible, and there are no fees for parking.
Public Transportation
Currently, public transportation options directly to Everett Cave may be limited. However, you can take the Green Mountain Express bus service from downtown Bennington to the nearest stop at the Bennington Walmart. From there, you will need to call a taxi or ridesharing service to cover the final 3 miles to Everett Cave. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance as service may vary.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from local shops in Bennington. Start at Main Street and head southwest towards US-7. Follow US-7 South for about 2 miles, then take Everett Road to reach the parking area. The ride is approximately 4 miles one way and is suitable for intermediate cyclists.
Walking
If you are staying nearby and prefer to walk, from the downtown area, head southwest on Main Street (VT-9) and continue on South Street until you reach US-7. Turn left and walk along US-7 South for about 2 miles until you reach Everett Road. Follow Everett Road for about 1 mile to reach the parking area. Be prepared for a long walk, approximately 4 miles one way.
