Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car in Bennington County, first head towards Brattleboro. From Route 9, merge onto I-91 North towards Brattleboro. Take Exit 2 for US-5 South. Continue on US-5 South for about 1 mile, then turn left onto Reservoir Loop. Follow the signs for Retreat Tower, which will be located at the end of the road. Parking is available near the entrance.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, check the local bus services such as the Green Mountain Express. Take a bus towards Brattleboro. Once you arrive at the Brattleboro bus station, you can either walk or take a taxi to Reservoir Loop. It's about a 1.5-mile walk from the bus station. Head south on Main Street, then turn left onto US-5 South, and finally turn left onto Reservoir Loop. Alternatively, a taxi ride from the bus station will be more direct but may incur a cost.

• Walking from Brattleboro

  If you're already in Brattleboro, you can walk to Retreat Tower. Start at the Brattleboro Common and head south on Main Street. After about 0.5 miles, turn left onto US-5 South. Continue for about 1 mile until you reach Reservoir Loop. Turn left onto Reservoir Loop and follow it to the end, where Retreat Tower is located. Be prepared for a hike as the last part of the journey may involve walking on uneven terrain.
