Getting There

  • Car

    From Killington Ski Area, head south on Killington Road (Vermont Route 100) for about 2 miles until you reach the intersection with US-4. Turn left onto US-4 East and continue for approximately 5 miles. You will pass by the scenic views of the Green Mountains. The entrance to Green Mountain National Forest will be on your right at 4387 US-4 in Mendon, VT. Look for the signage indicating the forest entrance.

  • Public Transportation

    Take the Rutland Public Transit bus from Killington. The nearest bus stop is located at the Killington Resort. Board the bus heading towards Rutland, and get off at the stop for US-4 (Mendon). From there, it is a 1.5-mile walk to the entrance of Green Mountain National Forest at 4387 US-4. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes as the walk may include some roadside walking.

  • Bicycle

    If you're feeling adventurous, you can ride from Killington Ski Area to Green Mountain National Forest. Start on Killington Road and head south for about 2 miles, then turn left onto US-4 East.
