Start from Killington Ski Area. Head south on Killington Road (VT-100) for approximately 2.5 miles. Turn right onto East Mountain Road and continue for about 1 mile until you reach the Long Trail parking area. Park your car here, as this is the trailhead for Maine Junction.

Public Transportation
Take the Green Mountain Express (local bus service) from Killington Ski Area to the Killington Road stop. From there, you will need to walk south on Killington Road (VT-100) for about 2.5 miles to reach the East Mountain Road turnoff. After that, continue walking on East Mountain Road for about 1 mile until you reach the Long Trail parking area. Be aware of the bus schedule to plan your return trip.

From the Long Trail parking area, follow the Long Trail path directly to Maine Junction. The hike is approximately 1.5 miles and should take about 30-45 minutes, depending on your pace.
