    From Killington, walk to the nearest bus stop at the Killington Town Office, located on Killington Road. Take the Green Mountain Transit bus (Route 1) heading towards Rutland. You will need to inform the driver that you want to get off at the Mendon stop. The ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you reach the Mendon stop, disembark and walk along US-4 for about 0.5 miles. You will see signs for Green Mountain National Forest, which is located at 4387 US-4, Mendon, VT 05701. The forest entrance is on your right.

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local shops in Killington. Start your journey by heading south on Killington Road until you reach the junction with US-4. Turn left onto US-4. Continue riding for about 5 miles; be cautious as this road can be busy. You will see the entrance of Green Mountain National Forest on your right at 4387 US-4, Mendon, VT 05701.
