Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start by heading to Route 15 in Lamoille County. Depending on where you are coming from, enter Route 15 and follow it towards the town of Johnson. Once you reach Johnson, continue onto Route 100, heading north. Follow Route 100 until you reach the junction with Route 2. Turn left onto Route 2 and continue until you reach North Hero. As you approach North Hero, look for Knights Point Road on your right. Turn onto Knights Point Road, and follow it for about 1 mile until you see the entrance to Knight Point State Park on your left at 44 Knights Point Rd, North Hero, VT 05474. There is usually a parking fee, so be prepared to pay a small fee upon arrival.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, you will first need to take a bus to Burlington, VT. From Burlington, look for a local bus service that operates routes towards the islands (such as the Chittenden County Transportation Authority). You will likely need to transfer to reach the town of North Hero. Once you arrive in North Hero, you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to get to Knight Point State Park, as public transportation options may be limited in that area. Make sure to check the local bus schedules in advance, as they can vary, and plan for additional time for transfers.
