Car
If you are traveling by car, start on Route 100. From Stowe, take Route 108 North (Mountain Road) until you reach the intersection with Route 15. Turn left onto Route 15, and then take a right onto Mountain Road (VT-15). Continue for about 7 miles. Underhill State Park will be on your right at 352 Mountain Rd, Underhill, VT 05489. There is a parking lot available for visitors.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take the Green Mountain Transit bus service (Route 2) that connects Stowe to Burlington. Get off at the Underhill Center stop. From there, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to take you to Underhill State Park, which is approximately 4 miles away. Be aware that public transportation options may be limited, so check the schedule in advance.
Walking
If you find yourself in the vicinity of Underhill Center and prefer walking, you can hike approximately 4 miles along Mountain Road to reach the park. Be mindful that it is a rural road with limited pedestrian pathways, so exercise caution while walking.
Biking
Cyclists can also make their way to Underhill State Park. If you are starting in Underhill Center, follow Mountain Road (VT-15) for about 4 miles. The road can be steep in some areas, so be prepared for a challenging ride. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow traffic rules for safety.
