From Sugarbush Resort, start by heading south on Sugarbush Access Road. Continue for about 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 100. Turn right onto Route 100 South. Drive approximately 3 miles until you see the signs for the Long Trail. Look for the parking area on your left near the Long Trail, Waitsfield, VT 05673. The Hedgehog Brook Trailhead is accessible from this parking area.

If you are using public transportation, first take the Green Mountain Transit bus from Sugarbush Resort to Waitsfield. The bus typically runs every hour, so check the schedule ahead of time. Once you arrive in Waitsfield, it’s about a 1-mile walk to the Hedgehog Brook Trailhead. Head south on Route 100 to the Long Trail. The trailhead is located just past the parking area on the left. Be prepared for the possibility of needing a ride or arranging a taxi for the final stretch if walking isn’t feasible.
