If you are driving in the Mad River Valley, head towards Waitsfield. From the center of Waitsfield, take Route 100 South. Continue for about 1.5 miles and turn left onto Mill Brook Road. Follow Mill Brook Road for approximately 0.5 miles, and you will see Mad River Lodge on your right at 2354 Mill Brook Rd. Look for the lodge's signage as you approach.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, the nearest bus stop is in Waitsfield. Take the Green Mountain Transit bus from Montpelier or Burlington to the Waitsfield stop. Once you arrive in Waitsfield, you will need to use a taxi or rideshare service to reach Mad River Lodge, as there are no direct public transport routes to Mill Brook Road. The distance is about 1.5 miles, and taxi fares may vary but expect to pay around $10-$15.
Walking
If you're already in the Waitsfield area and prefer to walk, it is approximately a 30-minute walk to Mad River Lodge. Start from the center of Waitsfield, head south on Route 100, and then take a left onto Mill Brook Road. Follow Mill Brook Road for about 0.5 miles; the lodge will be on your right. Please ensure to walk on the sidewalk or shoulder of the road for safety.
