From Molly Falls State Park, head south on the access road towards Vermont Route 2. Turn left onto VT-2 East. Continue on VT-2 for approximately 8 miles until you reach the junction with US-2 in Plainfield. Turn right onto US-2 South. After about 2 miles, you will see signs for Lr Jones State Forest. Turn left onto the access road leading into the forest. There is no entry fee to access the state forest.

Public Transportation
If using public transportation, first check for a local bus service that operates in the Montpelier area. You can take a bus from Montpelier to Plainfield. Once you arrive in Plainfield, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles to reach Lr Jones State Forest. Head south on Main St, then turn right onto US-2 South. Follow the directions for cars from this point to reach the forest. Please note that public transportation schedules may vary, so check the latest timetable for any service changes.

If you prefer biking, you can bike from Molly Falls State Park to Lr Jones State Forest. Start by heading south on the access road towards VT-2. Once you reach VT-2, turn left and continue for about 8 miles. Then, turn right onto US-2 South and follow this road for another 2 miles until you see the signs for Lr Jones State Forest. The total biking distance is approximately 10 miles, and it is advisable to wear a helmet and follow all traffic laws.
