Walking
From the center of Montpelier, head south on State Street towards Main Street. Continue straight onto the Vermont Route 12 South. After approximately 1 mile, turn left onto Vermont Route 108 South. Follow Route 108 for about 10 miles. You will pass through beautiful rural landscapes. Once you reach Jeffersonville, look for signs directing you to Smugglers' Notch Base Lodge, which will be on your right along Route 108.
Public Transport
Start at the Montpelier Transit Center, located at 60 State Street. Board the Green Mountain Transit bus heading towards Jeffersonville. The bus will take you on a scenic route and drop you off at the closest stop to Smugglers' Notch Base Lodge. From the bus stop, walk south along Vermont Route 108 for about 5 minutes, and you will see the lodge on your left.
Biking
If you prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the local shops in Montpelier. Head south on State Street, then turn onto Vermont Route 12 South, and continue straight. After about 1 mile, turn left onto Vermont Route 108 South. The ride is approximately 10 miles with some beautiful views. Keep an eye out for the signs to Smugglers' Notch Base Lodge, which will be on your right.
