  If you are driving from the center of Northeast Kingdom, start by heading east on VT-111 E. Continue on VT-111 until you reach the junction with VT-5. Turn left onto VT-5 N and follow the road for about 12 miles until you reach the town of Sutton. Look for signs directing you to Willoughby State Forest. The entrance is located at approximately 44.7151133 latitude and -72.0627622 longitude. There is no entrance fee for the park.

  As public transportation options in the Northeast Kingdom can be limited, consider taking a Greyhound or local bus service to the nearest major town, such as Newport or St. Johnsbury. From there, you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach Willoughby State Forest. Be sure to check bus schedules in advance, as they may not run frequently.
