If you're traveling by car, start by heading south on VT-5 from any location in the Northeast Kingdom. Continue on VT-5 until you reach the intersection with I-91. Take the ramp to I-91 South and merge onto the highway. Stay on I-91 for about 20 miles, then take exit 17 for VT-302 toward Barre. Merge onto VT-302 West and continue for approximately 10 miles. Turn right onto US-2 West and continue for about 3 miles. Finally, turn left onto Groton State Forest Road, which will lead you directly into the forest's entrance.

From St. Johnsbury, you can take the Greyhound or another local transit service towards Barre.
