Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from the center of Orleans County, head northwest on VT-5 N towards Newport. After approximately 18 miles, turn right onto VT-100 N. Continue for about 10 miles until you reach the junction with VT-242. Turn left onto VT-242 E. Follow VT-242 for approximately 6 miles. You will see signs for Jay Peak Resort. Turn right onto Jay Peak Rd and follow it until you reach the resort entrance at 830 Jay Peak Rd, Jay, VT 05859.

• Public Transportation

  For those relying on public transportation, start by taking the Green Mountain Transit bus from Newport. The bus service runs daily, but check the schedule for specific times. You will take the bus to the closest stop, which may be in Jay, VT. From the bus stop in Jay, you will need to arrange a taxi or use a rideshare service to cover the remaining distance of about 3 miles to Jay Peak Resort at 830 Jay Peak Rd. Be aware that taxi services may need to be booked in advance, and costs may vary.

• Bike

  For adventurous travelers, biking to Jay Peak Resort can be a scenic option. Starting from Newport, take the same route as cars via VT-5 N, then VT-100 N to VT-242 E.   Walking to Jay Peak Resort is not practical due to the distances involved. However, if you are in the immediate vicinity of Jay, you can walk from nearby accommodations or the town center.
