If you are traveling by car, begin your journey by entering Smugglers' Notch State Park. Follow the signs towards the main park entrance located on VT-108. Once inside the park, continue along the road, taking in the beautiful scenery as you drive. Look for the Sunset Ridge Trail parking area, which is located on your right after approximately 1.5 miles of driving. Park your vehicle in the designated area.

After parking, make your way to the Sunset Ridge Trailhead, which is marked clearly on the trail signage. This trail is a well-maintained hiking path that leads towards Cantilever Rock. The hike to Cantilever Rock is about 1.5 miles one way and can take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours depending on your pace. The trail is moderately challenging, so be sure to wear appropriate hiking footwear and bring water. Follow the trail signs, and you will reach Cantilever Rock, known for its stunning views and impressive rock formation at the end of the hike.

If you are using public transportation, the nearest bus service to Smugglers' Notch State Park is the Green Mountain Transit. You can take the bus to the town of Stowe, VT, and from there, you may need to arrange a taxi or rideshare service to reach the park entrance.
