Car
If you're driving to Bear's Bench, start by heading east on Mountain Road from the center of Stowe. Continue for about 2 miles. Turn right onto Quiet Path Trail, which is a small road that leads to the trailhead. There is limited parking available at the trailhead, so arrive early to secure a spot. Once parked, follow the trail signs to Bear's Bench, which is approximately a 0.5-mile hike from the parking area.
Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, take the Stowe Mountain Shuttle from the main Stowe area. The shuttle service operates seasonally and can drop you off near the entrance of the Stowe Mountain Resort. From the drop-off point, walk towards the Quiet Path Trail. Follow the trail signs for about 0.5 miles until you reach Bear's Bench. Be sure to check the shuttle schedule ahead of time, as it may vary.
Walking
For those already within the Stowe Mountain Resort area, you can access Bear's Bench by walking. If you are near the lodge, head towards Mountain Road, then take a left onto Quiet Path Trail. It's about a 15-20 minute walk from the lodge to the trailhead. Once at the trailhead, follow the marked path for approximately 0.5 miles to reach Bear's Bench.
