Getting There

• Public Bus

  If you are starting from the Stowe Village area, you can take the Green Mountain Transit bus. Look for the bus stop on Main Street near the Stowe Visitor Information Center. Take the bus that heads towards Waterbury and request to get off at the Trapp Family Lodge stop. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Once you get off, follow the signs to the lodge which is a short walk up Trapp Hill Road.

• Bicycle

  From Stowe Village, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local bike shops. Head north on Route 108, which is the main road leading out of the village. After about 1.5 miles, turn left onto Trapp Hill Road. Continue on Trapp Hill Road for about 1 mile, and you will see the Trapp Family Lodge on your right. Be cautious as the road can be hilly and winding.

• Walking

  If you're an adventurous walker, start in Stowe Village and head north on Route 108. After about a 30-minute walk (approximately 1.5 miles), turn left onto Trapp Hill Road. Continue walking for another mile until you reach the Trapp Family Lodge, which will be on your right. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, and consider walking in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the heat.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  For a more direct and comfortable option, consider calling a local taxi service or using a rideshare app like Uber or Lyft. Simply enter the destination as '700 Trapp Hill Rd, Stowe, VT 05672'. The ride from Stowe Village to the lodge should take about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic.
