Car
From Sugarbush Resort, start by heading southeast on Main St toward Mad River Road. Continue on Mad River Road for about 6 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 12. Turn left onto Route 12 and enjoy the scenic drive for approximately 5 miles. Look for Carrie Howe Road on your right. Turn onto Carrie Howe Road, and follow it for about 1 mile. Roxbury Falls will be on your left at 2266 Carrie Howe Rd, Roxbury, VT 05669. Parking is available near the falls.
Public Transportation
To reach Roxbury Falls via public transportation, take the Green Mountain Transit bus from Sugarbush Resort to Montpelier. The nearest bus stop is at the intersection of Main St and Mad River Road. Once in Montpelier, transfer to the bus heading toward Roxbury. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may be limited. After arriving in Roxbury, it is advisable to use a taxi or rideshare service as the falls are a short distance away, approximately 1 mile from the bus stop. Confirm pricing and availability in advance.
Bicycle
For an adventurous option, consider biking from Sugarbush Resort to Roxbury Falls. Rent a bike from a local rental shop near the resort. Start by heading southeast on Main St toward Mad River Road. Follow the same route as you would if driving, taking Route 12. The ride is approximately 12 miles and can take around 1 hour depending on your pace. Be sure to wear a helmet and bring plenty of water. There are no dedicated bike lanes, so be cautious of traffic.
