Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Montpelier, take I-89 South. Continue on I-89 S for about 20 miles. Take exit 17 for US-2 E toward Berlin. Follow US-2 E for approximately 10 miles until you reach the junction with VT-116 S. Take VT-116 S and continue for about 12 miles until you arrive in Bristol. In Bristol, turn right onto Lincoln Road (VT-116). Continue along Lincoln Road for about 5 miles, and you will find Bartlett Falls on your left at 23-655 Lincoln Rd, Bristol, VT 05443. There is free parking available along the road near the falls.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take the Green Mountain Transit bus from Montpelier to Bristol. This route may require a transfer in Middlebury, so check the schedule accordingly. Once you arrive in Bristol, you can either walk or use a local taxi service to reach Bartlett Falls. It is about a 2-mile walk (approximately 40 minutes) from the bus stop in Bristol to Bartlett Falls along Lincoln Road. Be sure to check the bus schedules ahead of time, as service may be limited on weekends.

• Biking

  If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike in Montpelier and take the same route as the driving guidance. Biking along I-89 may not be suitable, so take local roads, following US-2 and then VT-116 S. The total distance from Montpelier to Bartlett Falls is about 30 miles, which may take around 2-3 hours depending on your pace. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic regulations.
