Getting There

• Car

  From the center of Montpelier, take US-2 E towards Burlington. Continue on US-2 for approximately 30 miles. As you approach Burlington, merge onto I-89 N. Take exit 14W for US-2 W toward Winooski. Continue on US-2 W to the intersection with Main St. Turn left onto Main St, then right onto Battery St. Follow Battery St until you reach the end of the road, where you can find the parking area for the Burlington Earth Clock at 35 Island Line Trail. Note that parking may be limited, so arrive early.

  From Montpelier, take the Green Mountain Transit bus service (Route 1) towards Burlington. The bus will take you to the downtown Burlington area. Once you arrive at the Burlington City Hall, transfer to the local bus service (Route 11) towards the South End. Disembark at the stop near the intersection of Main St and Battery St. From there, it is a short walk to the Burlington Earth Clock at 35 Island Line Trail.   For cyclists, the ride from Montpelier to Burlington is approximately 30 miles. Start on the Montpelier Bike Path, which connects to the Winooski Valley Park District trails. Follow the path until you reach the Burlington Bike Path, which leads directly to the waterfront and near the Burlington Earth Clock at 35 Island Line Trail.
