    From Montpelier, VT, take I-89 S. Merge onto US-2 E toward Stowe. Continue on US-2 E until you reach the intersection with VT-14 S. Turn left onto VT-14 S and continue for approximately 14 miles. After passing through the town of East Montpelier, stay on VT-14 S until you reach Plainfield. In Plainfield, look for signs directing you to Groton State Forest. The entrance is located off of the road leading to the forest. Parking is available on-site.

    Take the Green Mountain Transit bus from Montpelier to Plainfield (check the schedule for exact times).
