Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start on the primary roads in Windsor County. Make your way to Route 100, which is a main thoroughfare running through the area. From Route 100, take Route 4 East towards Plymouth. Continue on Route 4 for approximately 12 miles until you reach Coolidge State Park Road. Turn left onto Coolidge State Park Road and follow it for about 2 miles. The park entrance will be on your right at 855 Coolidge State Park Rd, Plymouth, VT 05056.

• Public Transportation

  For travelers using public transportation, you will first need to reach the nearest bus service, which is provided by the Green Mountain Transit Agency. Take a bus to the nearest stop on Route 4, and then you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service from that point, as public transportation does not extend directly to Coolidge State Park. The taxi ride from the nearest bus stop to the park is approximately 5 miles and may cost around $10-$15.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can bike to Coolidge State Park from nearby towns. Ensure you are comfortable biking on rural roads. From Route 100, take the same Route 4 East direction. The total distance from the center of Plymouth is about 10 miles, so plan for approximately an hour and a half of cycling. Stay on the right side of the road and follow traffic rules, as this route can have vehicle traffic.

• Walking

  Walking to Coolidge State Park is not recommended as it is located in a rural area with no direct pedestrian pathways from the nearest town. If you are staying in Plymouth, it is about 10 miles away, which can take several hours on foot. If you choose this method, ensure you have adequate supplies and plan to walk along Route 4, being cautious of traffic.
