Start at the Woodstock Town Green, located at 31 The Green, Woodstock, VT 05091. Exit the green and head south on Main Street. Walk for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 4 (also known as the Woodstock Road). At this intersection, turn left onto Route 4 East. Continue walking for approximately 0.5 miles along Route 4. Look for a pedestrian path on your left that leads you down to the Ottauquechee River. Follow this path for about 0.2 miles until you arrive at the Taftsville Covered Bridge, which will be visible across the river.

Begin your journey at the Woodstock Town Green located at 31 The Green, Woodstock, VT 05091. Rent a bicycle from a local rental shop if you don't have one. Head south on Main Street for about 0.3 miles until you reach Route 4 (Woodstock Road). Turn left onto Route 4 East and cycle for approximately 0.5 miles. You will find a designated bike lane along the road. Look for a sign indicating the entrance to a bike path that leads down to the Ottauquechee River on your left. Follow the bike path for about 0.2 miles, and you will arrive at the Taftsville Covered Bridge, which spans the river.

From the Woodstock Town Green, walk to the nearest bus stop on Route 4 (Woodstock Road). Board the local bus heading towards Taftsville. The bus will take you along Route 4. Once you reach the Taftsville stop (approximately 10 minutes), disembark and walk across the road to find the entrance to the pedestrian path leading to Taftsville Covered Bridge. Follow the path for about 0.1 miles until you reach the bridge.
