From the center of Woodstock, head east on Elm Street. Continue straight, and you will cross the Ottauquechee River. After crossing, take a left onto Route 12. Follow Route 12 until you reach the intersection with a small road called 'Mountain Ave'. Turn right onto Mountain Ave. Follow Mountain Ave as it winds uphill. At the top, you will find a small parking area and the trailhead for Mt Peg.
Biking
Rent a bike at one of the local shops in Woodstock. Start your journey by heading east on Elm Street. Continue to Route 12 and make a left. Follow Route 12 and look for Mountain Ave on your right. Turn onto Mountain Ave and bike up the hill. The trailhead for Mt Peg will be at the top where you can park your bike.

If you are already near the base of Mt Peg, look for the trailhead signs along Mountain Ave. The trail is well-marked and begins just off Mountain Ave. Follow the trail as it ascends the mountain. It is a moderate hike, so be prepared for some uneven terrain.
